Please note that the selected access capacity will only start on the first day of the month following the month in which you selected or adjusted this access capacity.
Below is a list of frequently asked questions, taken from the Fluvius manual:
When can I increase my access capacity?
This can be done every month.
When can I reduce my access capacity?
After a previous reduction and only 12 months after an increase.
When does my chosen access capacity start?
On the first day of the month following the month in which you selected or adjusted this access capacity. The last adjustment you made in the previous month will be taken into account (e.g. you make adjustments on 12/1/2023, 15/01/2023 and 28/01/2023 => the adjustment of 28/01/2023 counts).
How long does the adjustment remain valid?
The selected access capacity remains valid for all future months until you adjust it again yourself (taking into account restrictions on reductions).
Until when can I make adjustments?
You can adjust your access capacity until the end of the month.
What is the best possible access capacity for me?
As a network operator, we cannot give you a suitable answer to this question because we do not know the future situation of your company. We do know your past consumption, but that is no guarantee for the future. Try to keep your future monthly peaks as low as possible and keep them predictable. You can determine your access capacity on this basis. Bear in mind that once you exceed your access capacity, you will be charged for the next 11 months, so it is best to allow for an (acceptable) margin between your predictable highest peak and your access capacity.
I am starting my business, how do I choose my access capacity?
Based on your predictable peaks, you can gradually build up your access capacity until you are 100% operational. You can apply an upward adjustment every month.
If I don't make a choice, what are the consequences?
When the capacity tariff was introduced, every non-low-voltage customer was allocated an access capacity based on their highest peak over the last 12 months (default peak). Customers with high-volume metering were sent three letters between 1 July 2022 and 31 December 2022 asking them to make their choice from the start of the capacity tariff. If they decide not to choose, the default peak will be charged as access capacity.
