The growth of renewable energy is giving rise to more moments of negative electricity prices due to oversupply, especially during sunny periods and weekends. Yuso PV Curtailment is a smart steering system that switches off the injection from the solar panels at advantageous moments. Yuso still reimburses for the injection according to the Day Ahead hourly rate of the injection contract, but adds a bonus for PV Curtailment.
Under ideal circumstances, PV Curtailment generates up to 25 EUR/kW annually, or 25,000 EUR for an installation of 1 MWp!
